Our race is a celebration of community and giving back. With that spirit in mind, all profits from the race will be donated to Kinsale Sailability.
Sailability Kinsale is a non-profit organisation, ​which promotes water-based activities for people with different abilities since 2008.
It is based on the Irish Sailing Association's national programme of which we are affiliated and is open to all people of different abilities regardless of age.
The programme is active from April to October on a weekly basis and is managed by volunteers and parents.

Qualified instructors are employed to give one to one instruction in boat handling and safety to those involved. The Sailability programme also provides an opportunity for members to progress through various sailing levels, and some parents have also done Safety Boat training.
Sailing is one of the very few sports in which sailors can participate on equal terms regardless of abilities.

Many adults who have different abilities have limited opportunities to participate in social sporting activities. The aim of this project is to meet some of these people’s needs and to promote the health and well-being of people with different abilities through watersports. ​​
Our programme is social recreational and educational.
