PRE-RACE
When & where do I purchase tickets?
Tickets will be available for sale from the 1st of May until they sell out or 24hrs before the race, whichever occurs first.

What is the minimum age to enter the event?
All athletes must be over 18 to participate in the event
Can I walk the race?
The race is not open to walkers.
Can I participate with a buggy/stroller in the race?
No
Can I get a refund, deferment or change my ticket if I can't run?
No

Is the event licenced & measured?
Yes, this event is run under an Athletics Ireland permit/licence and the course has been measured by Graham Meikle IAAF/AIMS road measurement national Athletics measurer.

Will there be pacers?
No
Is there chip timing?
Yes
Will there be official photographers on the course?
Yes, photos will be available after the event

Will my race bib and chip be posted out to me?
If you select this option when purchasing your ticket they will be posted in the week prior to the event. If not you can collect at race registration.

What time does the race start at?
The race starts at 7.30pm on Friday the 1st of August at Kinsale GAA pitch
Where can I park for the race?
Parking will be available at 4 locations close to the start of the race. Marshalls will direct vehicles to the appropriate parking depending on how quickly each fills.
The parking locations are:
Kinsale College car park, Saile Sports & Community Centre, Kinsale Community School, Scoil Naomh Eltin.
There is additional parking in Kinsale town but there will be no marshalls at these car parks.

Where and when do I register?
Registration (including Race Number & T-Shirt collection) opens at 6pm and closes 7pm at Kinsale GAA Pitch.
Race Number/T-Shirt collection will also be available in advance of the race.

Is there a facility for baggage drop?
There will be a bag drop facility at Kinsale Gaa pitch. The bags will then be delivered to Temperance hall (upstairs) where prizes and food will be after the race. The hall is 100 metres from the finish line.
Will there be toilets on the course?
There will be toilets available at the start and finish of the race but not during the course. Portaloos will be at Kinsale GAA centre at the start and public toilets are available across the road from Temperance Hall (100m from the finish line) behind the tourist information centre.
Are there changing facilities available?
No
Are headphones allowed to be worn during the race?
No, for safety on the route
Where are the water stations?
At 3 miles into the race and water will be available at the finish line (250ml bottled water with sports cap).
Are there shower facilities after the race?
No

Will there be prize giving & refreshments after the race?
Prize giving is at Temperance Hall next to the finish line at 8:45pm.
There will be sandwiches, cakes, biscuits, water, coffee and tea.

Will there be sports massages available after the race?
Tracy McCarthy head to toe therapies Kinsale and Clonakilty will be giving free sports massages at the finishing line to athletes.
